Cookies - yum-yum

Ever had a recipe that you look forward to and are determined to produce, no matter what?


I've had my heart fixed on using up my bread flour because it's going out of date. With too much bread in the freezer, plus it doesn't really agree with me, I did the obvious and hunted the internet for ideas. There's not many for biscuits using this type of flour.


After finding one that could be adjusted, the experiment began. As the ingredients were extracted from the cupboards, I realised I had no eggs, there was no way to calculate the correct amount of butter, plus I needed to reduce the sugar. In the end, milk was used to substitute the liquid aspect of no eggs, part Natvia replaced a lot of the brown sugar and when the mixture's texture appeared to be a bit too runny, more flour added. Finally, in went the chopped up cooking chocolate and a dough was successfully formed.


The taste test revealed, though still too sweet, they're very yummy.


All I need now is a good book...any suggestions?
