Well, that isn't quite the truth. Do writers ever tell the truth? But then what is truth?
What is truthful, is that a writer's work is never finished to their satisfaction. We suffer oh so much because we have to let our babies go when we feel they're not done.
I finished Silent Steps and it now sits at around 86k. Typing THE END felt wonderful.
My sequel is now out with the first reader for feedback and soon with one or two more. We writers are desperate for Alpha and Beta readers...
Once the book is out there in the big, wide world, a whole new adventure begins.
