I’m always intrigued as to what attracts the television and film moguls to the books they pick to transfer to the screen.
I’ve just finished reading The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. It’s had multitudinous reviews. I will probably do one too although he doesn't really need any more. I enjoyed his 'who-dun-it'.
In my opinion, an idyllic setting, a group of intelligent pensioners with differing eccentricities, I would tune in to it, just as I do to Death In Paradise. Judge me or judge me not, it’s everyone’s prerogative. I still wonder about how many people live in Midsomer 😊. I would mention the BBC Sherlock but that will have a blog all to itself.
Ask me which of my books would transfer to visual media, and after great thought and day dreaming, I nudge forward;
1. Goods By Hand (supernatural) and Footsteps of Galatea (its sequel) as a series.
2. Badger Town (ghost novel) a one-off film.
3. Seven Stops (and its w.i.p. sequel, Silent Steps) (contemporary) as a series.
As to the actors, there are many, so, because I've just been watching the BBC Sherlock, I will begin with Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Warrington, Gillian Anderson, Hugh Laurie, Parminder Nagra, Sara Martins…just saying…
So, what book/s have you read that would make great viewing?
