Goodies As At End June 2024

Writer's picture: Robyn CainRobyn Cain

There is a lack of abundance of produce this year - without my permission, I think my garden decided to take a minimalistic approach.

From top left: fenugreek, gooseberries and blackcurrants and Vietnamese coriander.

From bottom left: tomatoes, pepper, fiery basket chillies and a mix of bluebells and Sweet William seeds.

In the raised bed, sadly the strawberries are either being eaten (by freeloaders) or devoid of flavour, the beetroot (goodness knows what's going on with that), the carrots have gone to seed and the radishes empathised with the strawberries.

The good news is that the runner beans are braving the pigeons et al and are about 6 inches high and the rhubarb is fighting off the black fly!

Until the next exciting gardening instalment, bye.

Are you growing your own fruit and veg? How is it going? Any tips? Please share.
