'Happy days' is a current well-used way to express yourself. I never thought I would but...our English language has a fluidity that is undeniable. And I love it.
Today has indeed been a good day. My friend Gill K. has taken hours out of her busy schedule, and obtained me a compositing bin. On a recycling site someone was getting rid of it and I needed one. Voila!
A month ago I bought ten bags of compost for £70. That's pretty expensive when you consider everything else we have to fork out for. The list is too long to do here. Gardening is hard work and ten years ago I would never have thought I'd be into it. I'm glad to be moving with the times or evolving, same as our beautiful language. (Although I don't think I'm ever going to be able to accept 'thank you' as one word. Put into a sentence it just doesn't work).
Do you make your own compost? Please send me tips.
Have you got considerate friends that give up their time for you? Tell them how wonderful they are.
